Rubber Ducks, Bean Bags, Frisbees, Ropes, Clothes Pins, Golf Clubs and Flash, the miniature horse. What do these have to do with each other? They are the main attractions at the Fall Festival. Each Fall we host campers and their families for a fantastic time of games, food, and prizes. This year we had a wonderful turn out of nearly 60 people. The weather was beautiful and the Sack Race received a photo recognition on page 8 of The Independent, a local paper.
This was the second year for the New Mexico State University Christian Challenge students to volunteer to manage the booths and assist us with this outreach. They were marvelous. These students are by far the best group of volunteers we have ever had for this event. One of students headed up the project and he brought a total of 12 students with him.
After all the prizes were handed out we had a special treat this year. Aday Farms of Estancia donated pumpkins enough for each child to take one home with him/her. You should have seen the big smiles on these little one’s faces as they carried a pumpkin (sometimes bigger than them) to their cars. Thank you Adam and Heather for your generosity!
What a fantastic time to celebrate families, fall, and lots of fun!
