As you read this article, Albert and Dianne are traveling to Louisiana for his cousins 91st birthday. All the members of his family are known for their longevity into their 80’s and 90’s and they are excited to be able to celebrate this birthday. This vacation is a nice respite from the road they have been traveling with cancer.
As most of you know, Mr. Albert has gone through chemotherapy, surgery to remove the cancer, and 36 treatments of radiation following the surgery. Ms. Dianne has been faithfully by his side to encourage and support through this difficult time. Their spirits were soaring on the last day of treatment when another turn in the road took them by surprise.
“Possible cancer in the lungs” was not what they expected to hear so close to being done with all the ups and downs of treatment. A week later they visited the radiologist and he had some encouraging words. He wanted to do a PET scan to see if the spots are even active. The scan was scheduled for November 9th allowing them the much deserved vacation to Louisiana.
They are asking for prayers that God would completely heal these spots and upon returning there would be no need for any further treatment. If complete healing is not given, the treatment would consist of 5 days for two spots and 36 days for the other one. Please join us in asking God to intervene in the life of His servant, Mr. Albert.
