Eagles’ Wings has many service opportunities. We welcome short-term projects as well as those wanting a long-term project. The following list is not all-inclusive, but gives a general idea of what opportunities are available.

If you are interested in applying for any of these service opportunities, please visit our summer staff applications and support staff applications pages.

Summer Staffer. College students and high school juniors & seniors staff the summer camp. Positions are open for at least five male and five female staffers each year. Responsibilities include supervising three to four campers, helping with camp chores, leading games and devotions, etc. Some may also assist in horsemanship, archery, swimming or small groups, depending on each person’s experience. There is a place for everyone in the summer camp program. The important thing is to come prepared to serve and enjoy working with youth.
Eagles’ Wings Mentor. A mentor works with the camper and his/her family throughout the year establishing good relationships. These relationships help provide behavioral, educational, and spiritual growth for the camper. The mentor also participates in group activities sponsored by Eagles’ Wings and works closely with the Administrators. The mentor must be able to commit to at least one year of service.
Semester Missionary Staffer. A semester missionary is a college student sponsored through the North American Mission Board who commits to working with Eagles’ Wings for at least one semester. The missionary receives an honorarium and insurance through NAMB and receives room and board at the ranch through Eagles’ Wings. A person working this position will serve in follow-up with local youth.
Summer Kitchen Staff. During the summer we feed over 30 people per day through our five day summer camp. We host approximately twelve campers plus volunteer and full time staff each week for nine weeks. Kitchen staff is greatly needed to help in preparations, serving, and clean up, as well as willingness to do whatever else needs to be done involving kitchen work.
Construction Crew. As Eagles’ Wings continues to grow there is a need for volunteer construction crews to assist in the building and remodeling of facilities at the ranch. These crews will work under the supervision of our Maintenance Director and can come for weekends, weeks, or any extended amount of time. The ranch will provide food for the crew and lodging (if available). Limited RV hook-ups are available.
One example of how serving at Eagles’ Wings can impact your life comes from our current Office Manager, who came from Arkansas to Eagles’ Wings as a part time volunteer and is now a full time employee.

“I went back home after volunteering at Eagles’ Wings for eight months. But I couldn’t get the faces of the kids, the open sky and the wonderful friends I made while in New Mexico out of my head or my heart. Next thing I knew, the Hagan’s called and asked if I would like to come back to the ranch full time. I couldn’t wait to come back, and I love every minute of it.”

If you believe God is directing you to be a part of this ministry, but do not see anything that you are called to do, you can contact us to share your ideas and we will pray with you about serving here.
